Happy June, Academy Families!
A big congratulations to all of our incredible students who performed over the past few weekends at our Summer Recitals! We are so proud of each and every one of you! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our performers. Be sure to check out some of the photos below:

A quick reminder that all three schools will be closed for Summer Break from July 2–5, 2026. We will reopen for lessons on Monday, July 6th. There are no makeups for this break—tuition is based on a 48-week year. We don’t charge extra when there are 5 lessons in a month, and we don’t charge less when there are only 3. For more info, check out our Policies and Procedures. We wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July holiday!
We're celebrating Pajama Week with a Pajama Party at Irmo Music Academy on Saturday, July 11, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM! The party is open to all current students ages 6–16. Email info@irmomusicacademy.com to sign up for an afternoon of movies, crafts, snacks, and fun!
In case you missed it, we'll also be keeping things cool during the hot summer months with Spirit Month. Be sure to check the calendar below so you don't miss out on the fun!
Don't forget about our Excited to "Sea" You Raffle when you come in for your lesson! During the summer, each student receives a paper fish to write their name on. They can place their fish in either the Monthly Raffle Fishbowl or the Summer Raffle Fishbowl.
At the end of each summer month, we'll draw one winner to receive a gift card to a local business, such as a café or ice cream shop. The Summer Raffle winner will be drawn only once at the end of the summer and will receive one free month of lessons plus a retail certificate. Even better, students who participate in Spirit Month during July will receive an extra fish for that week's lesson!
Travel the musical world with the Academy this summer! Each week throughout June, July, and August, the Culture Choir will explore music from West Africa, Latin America, and East Asia.
Classes will be held at both Irmo Music Academy and Lexington School of Music, and are open to students from all three academies, ages 10 and up. Family and friends are invited to attend our end-of-summer performances. To sign up, visit: columbiaartsacademy.com/choir

Musical Ladder System® Achievements!
The Columbia Arts Academy, Lexington School of Music, and Irmo Music Academy are the only Midlands music schools where students earn colorful wristbands, trophies, and certificates through the patented Musical Ladder System®, created by Academy Director Marty Fort and used nationwide. Some schools offer trophies and certificates, but none excite students like the Musical Ladder System® wristbands they proudly show off to friends.
